Presentation
The Parisian Institute for Physical and Theoretical chemistry (FR2622) is a join research federation of UPMC and CNRS. Three labs are members of this institute : LCT, laboratoire de Chimie Théorique (UMR7616), LCPMR, Laboratoire de Chimie Physique- Matière et Rayonnement (UMR7614) and MONARIS, MOlécule aux NAnos matériaux : Réactivité, Interactions et Spectroscopies (UMR8233).
The Institute is headed by Pr François Rochet since the 1st of January, 2019.
Research Focus
All the research in the federation come under physical chemistry, theoretical chemistry, and atomic and molecular physic. The theoretical chemistry is the domain who serves as the first link for the three first historical members(LADIR, LCPMR, LCT). The LM2N lab has joined the federation on 1st of January, 2011. LM2N and LADIR has merged on 1st of January, 2014 into the MONARIS lab.
Missions
- Scientific animation (invitations, seminars, congress,…) on the main research domain of the Institute
- Management of the experimental and computing resources (High Performance clusters) for the members
